A coleção Primavera/Verão 2012 deles é sobre a Holanda. E, na minha sincera opinião, a coleção é tão perfeita quanto o lugar que a inspirou. Vamos às cores!
Guys, today I've decided to post for real.
As I've told you on my introduction post, I'm a bit - OK, REALLY - addicted to nail polish. And O.P.I.'s new collection is absolutely GORGEOUS! I couldn't help myself but to spread the word.
Their Spring/Summer 2012 collection is about Holland. And, in my honest opinion, the collection is as perfect as the place it's inspired on. Now, to the colours!
A Roll In The Hague
Vermelho aberto clássico, daqueles que nunca pode faltar numa coleção. E, por mais que seja uma cor mais do que tradicional, a gente nunca pode deixar de comprar, não? ;D
O nome da cor é inspirada na cidade onde o governo da Holanda se localiza, Haia. Uma cidade muito bonita e que possui uma das praias mais movimentadas do país! Segue abaixo uma foto de lá:
Classic bright red, like those that they never leave out of a new collection. And, even though it's a more-than-traditional colour, we can never stop buying those, can we? ;D
The name of this colour is inspired by the city where dutch government is contred, The Hague. It's a very nice city, where one of the most popular beaches of the country is located! Follows here a picture of the place:
Lindo, não? Se algum dia alguém for pra Holanda, é um lugar que eu recomendo! E não deixem de comer os peixes fritos com molho na beirada da praia, são maravilhosos.
Pretty, isn't it? If someone goes to Holland someday, it's a place I recommend! And don't miss eating fried fish with sauce by the beach, they're wonderful.
Did You'ear About Van Gogh?
Um "greige" discreto. Perfeito para o ambiente de trabalho, sem ter que apelar para os clássicos branquinho/rosa-claro!
O nome desse foi inspirado no famosíssimo pintor holandês Van Gogh. Acho que todo mundo já deve ter visto em algum lugar alguma pintura dele.. de qualquer maneira, segue abaixo sua obra-prima, Noite Estrelada.
A discrete "greige". Perfect for the job environment, without having to go with the classics white/light-pink!
This one's name was inspired by the famous dutch painted Van Gogh. I reckon everyone has probably already seen some of his paintings... nevertheless, follows down here his masterpiece, Starry Night.

Dutch 'Ya Just Love OPI?
O nome é um trocadilho em inglês entre as palavras "don't" e "dutch". É, um pouco forçado talvez, mas funciona haha
O esmalte, porém, é um dos meus favoritos da coleção. Violeta com microglitter dourado!! Me segura, gente, não posso mais comprar esmalte >.<'
The name is a word game with the words "don't"and "dutch" (duh!). Yeah, it's a bit random maybe, but works out haha
The nail polish, however, it's one of my favourites on the collection. Violet with golden miniglitter!! Hold me, guys, I can't buy any more nail polish >.<'
Gouda Gouda Two Shoes
Um rosa antigo - bem do tipo que não costuma ser das minhas cores preferidas, já que me lembra os suéteres da minha avó - mas com aquele "plus" do microglitter dourado. Continua não sendo uma das minhas primeiras opções, mas já subiu no meu conceito só por ter esse quê de luxo!
O nome é inspirado numa das variedades de queijo mais famosas da Holanda, o Gouda. É um queijo suave, macio, levemente adocicado. Muito bom!
An ancient rosé-tonality - just the type I'm not very fond on, since it reminds me of my granny's sweaters - but with that golden miniglitter "plus". It's still not one of my first choices, but already gained points on my ranking just because it's has that luxurious "something"!
The name was inspired by one of the most famous varieties of dutch cheese, Gouda. It's a mild cheese, soft, slightly sweet. Really good!

O nome foi inspirado na famosa cidade portuária de Rotterdam.

The name was inspired by the famous port city of Rotterdam.
Infelizmente, sobre Rotterdam, não posso dar nenhuma dica, já que não deu tempo de ir pra lá :( bom, quem sabe numa próxima visita à Holanda. A ponte na foto é a Erasmusbrug, Ponte Erasmus, um dos monumentos mais conhecidos da cidade.
Unfortunately, about Rotterdam, I can't really give any tips, since I had no time to go there :( well, maybe on another trip to Holland. The bridge on the picture is Erasmusburg, Erasmus Bridge, one of the most well-known monuments of the city.
I Have a Herring Problem
Cor LINDA, gente! Um azul um pouco mais intenso que o I Don't Give a Rotterdam, mas os mesmos brilhinhos!
O nome veio de um dos pratos mais tradicionais da Holanda, que é o arenque. Arenque é um peixe comumente encontrado no Mar do Norte, e que os holandeses comem cru.
GORGEOUS colour, guys! A little more intense blue that the I Don't Give a Rotterdam one, but with the same glitter!
The name came from one of the most traditional dutch dishes, that's herring. Herring is a fish commonly found on the Northern Sea, and the dutch eat them raw.
Se você é fã de sushi, não pode deixar de experimentar. Recomendo o arenque com cebolas, acho que a combinação fica bem refrescante. Claro que também é altamente recomendável que você coma alguns Mentos depois hehe
If you're a fan of sushi, you can't miss that one. I recommend herring with onions, reckon the combination is quite refreshing. Of course it's also highly recommended that you eat a few Mentos afterwards hehe
Kiss Me on My Tulips
Outra daquelas cores nunca-pode-faltar, o rosa super-cheguei. Mesmo assim, é lindo perfeito tudo-de-bom e eu compraria fácil!
E, claro, a cor condiz bem com o nome que leva. Tulipas rosas são lindas mesmo!
Another of those colours never-out-of-the-collection, the superbright pink. Even then, it's beautiful and perfect and wonderful and I'd totally buy it!
And, of course, the colour goes well with it's name. Pink tulips are really pretty!
A Holanda é o mais famoso produtor de tulipas no mundo. Por volta do mês de maio, sobrevoar a Holanda é ver um tapete de cores indescritíveis! Há, inclusive, um jardim sazonal muito famoso que expõe todas as centenas de variedades de tulipas cultivadas na Holanda.
Holland is one of the most famous tulip croppers in the world. Around May, to fly over Holland is to see an enourmous carpet of indescribable colours! There's, also, a very famous seazonal garden (link above) that shows all the hundreds of tulip varieties cultivated in Holland.

Rosinha super clássico, com aquele quê de brilhinhos prata. Muito bonito, mas não seria também um dos que eu compraria primeiro.
O nome é inspirado no hábito holandês do uso da bicicleta. Eles fazem praticamente tudo pedalando: vão ao trabalho, passeiam, viajam... enfim. É um hábito muito saudável e de respeito ao meio-ambiente. E os estacionamentos para bicicletas são absurdamente grandes. Em frente à estação Amsterdam Centraal de trem, um destes possui nada menos do que três andares. É muita bike meesmo :P
Superclassic pink, with a something of silver glitters. Very pretty, yet it's also not one of my first choices to buy.
The name is inspired by the dutch habit of doing everything by bike. They do pratically everything biking: go to work, spend free time, travel... and so on. It's a very health and eco-friendly habit. And the bycicle parking lots are absurdely huge. In front of Amsterdam Centraal train station, there's one of those with nothing less than three floors. It's a whoole lot of bikes.
Red Lights Ahead... Where?

O nome dessa cor foi inspirado, nada mais, nada menos, no Distrito da Luz Vermelha de Amsterdam.

The name of this colour was inspired by nothing less than the Red Light District from Amsterdam.

Lugar bonitinho, né? Bom, não se engane. É um dos maiores distritos de prostituição no mundo - e funciona 24h. Ou seja, se você se incomoda em ver mulheres de lingerie se sugestionando em vitrines - ou coisa pior - não vá. No entanto, eu acho que é um ponto turístico tão clássico que vale a pena uma visita. E não se ofenda se você for mulher e for cantada na rua - é normal.

Pretty place, huh? Well, don't be fooled by it. It's one of the biggest prostitution districts in the world - and works 24/7. Means, if you're uncomfortable seeing women in lingerie suggestioning themselves in showcases - or worst - don't go there. However, I reckon it's such a classic touristic spot, that's worth a visit. And, if you're a woman, don't get offended if someone hits on you on the streets - it's normal.

The name of the colour was inspired by the oh-so-traditional windmills of the country, which you can find basically anywhere you look.

Todas as casas são assim: altas e estreitas. A coisinha mais linda do mundo! E espero que você, se for algum dia para lá, dê a sorte de ver um holandês dessas casas se mudando. Eles fazem a mudança toda pelas janelas, utilizando um ganchinho que todas essas casas têm logo abaixo dos telhados. É engraçadíssimo! Eu vi um sujeito içando um sofá quatro andares acima do chão ._.
All houses there are like this: tall and thin. Prettiest thing in the world! And I hope that you, if you ever go there, is lucky enough to see some dutchman that lives in one of these moving in/out. They make the whole moving process through the windows, using a small hook all houses have right under the roofs. It's hilarious1 I saw this guy pulling a sofa four floors upwards ._.
Wooden Shoe Like to Know?
Um carne com brilhos dourados. Sinceramente, devo ter um ou dois esmaltes carne, só para falar que tenho. Não gosto muito, mas confesso que acho lindo em pessoas de pele negra!
O nome foi inspirado nos tamancos de madeira holandeses, ou clogs, que inspiraram a moda de calçados em 2010.
A meat-colour with golden glitters. Honestly, I must have only one or two meat-colour nail polish, just to say I have some. I don't really like them, but I must say I think they look lovely on black people!
The name was inspired by the dutch wooden shoes, or clogs, that inspired the shoe fashion in 2010.
O clog holandês pouco tem a ver com o resultado que gerou na moda dos calçados, mas o conceito é basicamente o mesmo: um calçado de peça única de madeira. E como são pesados, gente!
The dutch clog has very little to do with the result it pulled on the shoe fashion industry, but the concept is basically the same: a shoe made from a single piece of wood. And guys, they're heavy!
E é isso! Espero que tenham gostado da coleção, e também do pouco que falei sobre o país que a inspirou :) recomendo ambos!
